Preheat oven to 120 °C, prepare a large baking tray by coating with non-stick spray.

Remove chicken wings from packaging and pat dry with a paper towel and place them into a large bowl.

Add salt, black pepper and baking powder to the bowl and toss to combine. Toss until each chicken wing is lightly coated.

Place chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking tray and bake at 120 °C for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 220 °C and bake for a further 45 minutes until wings are golden in colour then remove from oven.

Place a saucepan on medium heat. Add the Nando's Medium PERi-PERi Sauce, butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and honey. Stir continuously until ingredients have melted and is simmering, then remove from heat.

In a different ovenproof dish, add the chicken wings as well as the sauce and toss to combine.

Reduce oven heat to 180 °C and bake the chicken wings coated in sauce for 3 minutes. This will help your sauce stick to your wings. After 3 minutes, remove chicken wings from the oven and enjoy.
This is our gateway sauce: a good dollop of PERi-PERi (African Bird’s Eye Chilli) with spices. For a while, it will be enough. But soon you’ll want them all. Just go with it.
